CYCLING T-SHIRTS
CYCLING T-SHIRTS What a rider wears on the bike gets the job done, but off the bike it's nice to let the world know that you're part of something, and that's where apres bike t-shirts comes in. A cycling inspired t-shirt is one way to share the ride, and with brands like Twin Six and Opsal Sport fusing art and cycling, there has never been a better time to wear it with pride.
From the simple Bike Geek to the Brew Pub T's coat of arms inspired pean to The Alpe d'Huez, Twin Six's t-shirts are both cleverly designed and a reflection of today's biking culture. Back in February 2009 the US based brand's 'Fly T' was featured as part of the Independent's online 'Top 50 Cycle Gear' article. Here is what they had to say:
"The American-based Twin Six, a pair of young designers who love to ride, call their brand a "graphic revolution in cycling apparel". It's a lofty claim, but their great range of retro jerseys, T-shirts, caps and sock certainly banish images cycle gear associations with technical, brightly coloured Lycra. Their T-shirts would look as good off the bike as they would on urban rides. The Fly features a deep-velocity rim suspended by angel wings. Nice."
Morvelo & Tour de France T-Shirts
Brighton based design studio Morvelo have been creating some really inspired t-shirts over the past couple of years, with classics like their 'bike take' on the Woodstock Festival poster and the Super Domestique t-shirt. However, after they tied up with the Tour de France organisation in 2011 to create the Mountain Project line of ASO approved Tour de France T-Shirts, their work entered the cycling mainstream.
