This is the second Buff I've bought - wanted another colour in the wardrobe!
These are great - not really designed for deep winter runs, but for spring and autumn I'd say a Buff is essential kit. Natural material with all the benefits that brings. And can fold up small which is a bonus. Pretty cool off the bike too!

This is the best gear one can buy and not just for cycling. Wool Buff is almost twice as expensive as the regular one but in my opinion at least triple the product. Countless ways to use, but I use it to cover my face during the rides in arctic conditions as the wool Buff enables one to easily breath through.
Runs large

Great item ..., I always wear buff neck tubes... this one is slightly wider on the neck than other that I bought before.but cool product and I wouldn't go for a ride without it ...especially in those freezing rides : )

An excellent addition to my winter commuting outfit but looks smart enough to wear off the bike. Longer than my last buff, it is comfortable and is very warm. Better than a scarf and warmer than a scarf.

Longer than a standard buff which makes it even better for winter wear. Worn under helmet keeps you warm and is comfortable without any overheating or becoming damp / sweaty. Have worn it off the bike to cover my face in temperatures of minus 11 C and it's great for keeping out cold dry air. Fabric feels great against your skin and the colour (I bought blue) is bright but with a natural type hue. Recommend.

Commuting into work every day this is a must, warm and comfortable and you can use it over the bottom half of your face.
by TooSlow from United Kingdom on 02/01/2012
Great product, feels a wee bit more luxurious than a 'normal' buff. Pretty much a fixture on all my winter cycles.
by Antte Kaukonen from Finland on 07/12/2011
Everything you'd except from a Buff and this one doesn't make your neck itch. Perfect for the winter rides.
by Tim Noble from United Kingdom on 07/12/2011
Am so pleased I got this, just in time for the turn in the weather. I never go anywhere without this now, as it is very comfortable and does a great job of stopping any drafts. I've worn it with my softshell jacket and also on warmer days with a thinner mid layer. Very pleased with it.
by Tsacho Rabchev from Bulgaria on 02/12/2011
Natural fiber, elastic, fine merino wool - soft no itching. Can be converted into a hat - watch some vids on youtube to see how it is done :)
by Nihat Hasbek from Netherlands on 03/05/2011
The usual good quality from Buff, very soft, stylish and does a good job of keeping the chill off the sensitive neck in the cooler weather. Good be just a bit shorter though.

I love these 100% merino buffs; they not only keep you warm and cosy on the bike but can be used for casual wear as well. Easy to wash by hand or machine and they don't smell like the polyester versions! Good range of colours too. Would recommend to anyone who appreciates the natural feel and breathability of wool.

Got one of these as a gift a year ago, wasn't sure about it as I had a standard buff I never used much. But it's brilliant - light, warm, comfortable and non-smelly. I cycle almost every day and nearly always carry it with me. After a year of abuse it has a couple of tiny holes but is otherwise good as new. Highly recommended.
by Adam Leaver from United Kingdom on 21/12/2010
Beautifully soft commuting essential - keeps neck face and ears warm.
by Weaselyone from United Kingdom on 30/11/2010
Great product, thin and warm... perfect!
by Mugge from Spain on 29/11/2010
Super product, using it for my scooter rides in the cold. Nice for casual wear too.
by John Clark from United Kingdom on 12/11/2010
Five stars for the product, it's great, warm, and very light but 3 Stars for fit, I have a 15 inch neck and it's very loose, so if you like a firm fit not for you!
by matthecat from United Kingdom on 10/11/2010
What can you say? I wear it all the time now the weather has turned cold - on or off the bike. Goes for ages without washing. Perfect in the early downhill commute. I might just have to start collecting them...
by Rockus from United Kingdom on 01/11/2010
Every rider needs a buff, why not make it a merino number.
by Robin Oberg from Sweden on 18/10/2010
Feels great against your skin. Keeps neck warm and cozy.
by Thomas Ashford from United Kingdom on 22/01/2010
Great for keeping neck and face warm. Also wicks sweat away very well. Highly recommended!
by Rory Hiddleston from Ireland on 13/01/2010
Excellent quality, great fit and superb texture. Good and hygenic for wicking sweat
by Melissa Odling from United Kingdom on 04/01/2010
I bought ths for my husband as a Christmas present, he took it out with him for first time on ride in Peak District in 10 inches of snow - raved about it on his return for keeping his face and neck warm, one satisfied customer!
by wintryguy from United Kingdom on 04/01/2010
Great product. Just as soft and easy to use as a standard buff and slightly longer so actually a bit better as more material to play with. No problem that it is seamed at both ends - just as stretchy. Nice and warm too, but not bulky in anyway. I would recommend to buy one, good value for money too.
by Jess Brown from United Kingdom on 16/12/2009
I've worn this almost everyday since I got it. Very comfortable and according to others looks pretty cool too. Haven't actually tried it on the bike yet but I like it because it can be worn around ears and mouth to keep the cold out. Breathes as well so doesn't get too warm.
by Disco from United Kingdom on 04/12/2009
Finally, my face can appreciate what the rest of my body has come to expect from the qualities of Merino Wool. Can't believe Buff took so long to get here, but I am very happy with the result. The guys at Always Riding got this to me the next day and were happy to exchange it instantly when I wanted a different colour. Excellent product, and excellent service. Thank you!
by andrew cliffe from United Kingdom on 15/11/2009
Excellent product: very versatile
by Angelo Giangregorio from Italy on 24/10/2009
Warm but not too warm, great on and off bike, easily pocketable, always at hand!
by Speedysnail from United Kingdom on 23/09/2009

This might be a silly question, but is the Wool Buff one size only?
posted by Eddy on 28th October 2010
Not silly at all, don't worry:) Yes, the Buff Wool, as with the rest of the range on the site, is one size only.
