The Chrome Champ Jacket is a beautifully styled wind jacket with a slender fit and design that works from bike to bar. Chrome is from San Francisco, so this jacket is made for those cold, windy, summer days, both fully windproof and shower resistant. Made from Swiss Schoeller® 3xdry® fabric, and complete with innumerate bike friendly features, the Champ Jacket is a rider essential.
![]() Chrome started life in Boulder, Colorado over 14 years ago, when a couple of local guys needed some bags, but just couldn't find anything to meet their needs or standards. Frustrated by the lack of supply, they went in search for the toughest materials they could find, broke out the needles, and the rest as they say, is history.
After awhile, the word was out that Chrome was making the best messenger bags around, so what started as a product born out of necessity, developed into a business with the core ethic of making only the best bags, and now apparel possible.
Eventually Chrome upped bags, backpacks and office and moved to San Francisco, a city with a burgeoning urban cycling scene. As business grew, their in demand Chrome Bags were joined by biycle apparel, gear and cycling shoes. Chrome products began to appear up from Brooklyn to Berlin to Tokyo.
What matters today is what mattered in the garage – building products that work, and standing behind everything they make. If you have bought this product, why not write a review and help other riders to make an informed choice. Just click here.

Great jacket. I'm wearing it for my 20 mile commute every day. I like the mp3 pocket. The hideaway reflective bits are brilliant when visiting the pub at lunchtime. I have worn the jacket at -1C and it's fine when you wear 1 or 2 thin merino layers underneath. The jacket is far more breathable than my endura shell. The underarm zipped vents mean that I can regulate my temperature and avoid needing a shower when I get to work. I normally wear size large (6ft+), but after a discussion with customer services I decided to order medium. Fits perfectly. This jacket must have been designed by a cyclist. It's pretty much perfect.

I was browsing for an goodlooking training jacket with good protection. Considered softshell and light Goretex and then I found this ! I have very good experience with the schoeller fabric and could not resist this! Not cheap but very comfy and COOL ! Love the details but think it`s too nice for training, it will be my bar and cafejacket :) Got an in depth product question, or want to ask something else related to this product? Whatever your question, simple post it here, and we'll answer you faster than a speeding bullet.Hi,
I'm thinking of buying the Chrome Champ Jacket for my boyfriend's birthday, and I wonder if this is just a Spring/Summer item or he will actually be able to use it during Winter? Thanks! ;-)

We've had lots of riders buying the Champ Jacket for cooler days, and because it offers full wind protection, we would definitely say it is a great year round cycling jacket. For the ultimate combination, your boyfriend could pair the jacket with a nice base layer, perhaps the Stripe Merino Base Layer from Ibex. The Stripe matches the Champ's 'off the bike look', so together he would have a nice couple of pieces for his ride, and away from the bike.
Hi,
was wondering about the sizing - I'm 181cm (5'11"), slim with longish arms. What do you reckon: is the size L too big or about the right size?
Cheers,
-T

Thanks for the question - We would recommend a medium, as Pete in our office wears a Champ Jacket in that size, and he is 6ft 1", with a 36" chest, 32" waist. If you bought a large and you have similar measurements, the chest might get too flappy on the bike. Flappy - technical term:))
