A medium sized bag that can hold up to a 17" laptop, the Citizen is ideal for riders that want to carry a large amount of items, but don't require the largest Chrome bag. Laptop Compatibility: Up to 17.” No integrated laptop sleeve. Buckle bag compatible laptop sleeve sold separately secures into the bag. Organization: External pocket for wallet, keys, phone, and other essentials. The inside is basically a big waterproof bucket within the bag. Typical Haul: Up to 17” laptop, changes of clothes, lunch, two books, water bottle. Great for trips to the grocery store.
 Chrome started life in Boulder, Colorado over 14 years ago, when a couple of local guys needed some bags, but just couldn't find anything to meet their needs or standards. Frustrated by the lack of supply, they went in search for the toughest materials they could find, broke out the needles, and the rest as they say, is history.
After awhile, the word was out that Chrome was making the best messenger bags around, so what started as a product born out of necessity, developed into a business with the core ethic of making only the best bags, and now apparel possible.
Eventually Chrome upped bags, backpacks and office and moved to San Francisco, a city with a burgeoning urban cycling scene. As business grew, their in demand Chrome Bags were joined by biycle apparel, gear and cycling shoes. Chrome products began to appear up from Brooklyn to Berlin to Tokyo.

I'm very pleased with this bag. It's comfortable and stable when the straps are properly adjusted for the load, which is easy to do while wearing, and it remained waterproof after 20mins of heavy rain.  Ideal for city riding

The Chrome Citizen Messenger Bag is something I needed for my daily commutes through the windy and rainy fall of Helsinki. It has kept my things perfectly dry. It is good for short rides, but during long rides it starts to feel a bit unpleasant. Therefore I still use "ordinary" and small backpacks during long rides.
When I have something hard in my back I occasionally have to stop and re-organize my stuff because edges etc. can feel quite disruptive against my back if they're in bad positions.
Otherwise a really good product, and I'd buy one again if I needed to.

Really cool looking and handy bag.
The inner compartment is totally waterproof so it will keep your stuff dry even if cycling in heavy rain.
Chrome also has a laptop bag that fits inside this one. So you might want to get one of those too if you like to carry your laptop around.

The bag is spacious and can carry heavy loads, I have done my shopping with this bag and carried 4 bottles of 2L drinks without problem. The straps are solid and there is no strain on them, though there being one strap means all the weight is also on one shoulder. The bag is sealed via 2 velcro strips and then two plastic buckles. The bag has been taken out into the rain and the contents inside stayed dry despite the bag not having zips etc. and being carried at an angle on your back.
Overall a very good quality bag and I feel I got my money's worth but dropped one start since my shoulder hurts alot more then with other bags with this strap design.

CHROME manage to blend practical and cool together, the two make the Citizen messenger bag my favourite. Comfortable even when heavily loaded. The positioning of the main strap, ensures the bag is stable on your back when riding. Build quality is excellent and stands up to all the absue thats been thrown at it. The buckle and CHROME insignia are what the eye is drawn to but there is so much more to this bag than that. Got an in depth product question, or want to ask something else related to this product?
