The Chrome Cobra Hoody is the US brand's live-in 24/7 top. On or off the bike, its great fit, soft merino wool fabric and rich feature list will both please and delight you.

(Hmm, we have to stop writing these product descriptions after reading Chinese fortune cookies).

For riders with big storage needs, the Cobra's full width rear pocket will come as a nice surprise, as will the pocket zippered wrist, thumb loops and generally pleasing fit that gives you a longer torso and longer sleeves.

I have had a EWR Merino Messenger hoodie for ages & seeing as its getting raggedy round the edges wanted a new top which would replace it, not make me look like a hobo anymore & be as good on the bike as off. This I am certain will do that for me, its well constructed, its the little details that matter & when your forking out a few clams you want something that doesn't look like it will fall apart after one time wearing it. The Main zipper could be slightly chunkier & a two way zip would have been nicer for those moments on the bike when you need the warmth up top to stay in but need to let some of it out at the same time, at the bottom of the jacket, as well as letting out the extra belly girth you took on after eating too much pie & ale at your last rest-stop. One tip I have for those little teardrop hideaway zips is never fully take them all the way down, cos if they do come off there a royal pain to get back on, so as daft as it sounds, back off a little when using them & you will get a lot more wear 'n' tear out of them. I've had the jacket about 3 weeks now & as the cold weather is now hitting us I am finding the jacket worth its money in keeping the chill out. On or off the bike - its minimalism stylishness works. Its true to size - something I prefer. I'm hoping the sleeve ends hold up well after wear 'n' tear sets in. It keeps you warm without over-heating you. If its anything like my EWR I'm probably gonna find I'm wearing it pretty much all the time which is what I want from an item of clothing.

I already had the Stock Cobra before and thought I would go for the real thing. The hoody is very warm and comfortable, it is quite thin, but still feels very cosy and soft. I am quite tall and it is a pleasant surpirse for me that the arms and tail are still long enough to protect from the wind and cold when cycling. The key loop is another very useful feature. It makes a perfect combination with the Chrome Anza jacket for both daily commutes and for smaller road cycling trips.

Received this as a gift (although I had picked it from the site) and have been very pleased. Nicely made, fairly slim fit, and very warm for it's thickness. Some nice features such as the key pocket in the arm and the rear pockets. It's almost too nice for riding in except in decent weather as I don't really want to get it dirty!
    Overall a lovely jacket.

I'm very happy with my purchase. There are 4 pocket (2 side and 2 back) and the zips are invisible and seamless. It's a little bit expensive due to the merino wool I suppose, but it's really different and more "mature" than a cotton hoody. Also the cut is long and very nice for bike riding.

Let's face it - £165 for a hoody is a bit steep. fits perfectly, is made to an exceptionally high standard and comes out of the wash looking like new. On the bike, it fits like a race jersey (size chart is spot on - if it's tighter than expected, either ride more or be realistic about your size) - but it looks pretty damn cool in the office too!
Is it worth it? Absolutely - you'll wear it every day.
