Overal a good product, with a tight fit, the only down side was the zip pocket at the back made it difficult to get outs gels etc. whilst riding.

Very impressed with this well made, well designed jacket. After a quick email to confirm sizing, you were correct guys, I have been using it for those chilly May mornings. I think it will do the trick for most months with appropriate layers underneath.

First of all, I'm really pleased with the quality and fit of this jacket (especially the extra long arms, which you can fold over your gloves).
But unfortunately I'm not completely satisfied with my purchase, because: I bought this jacket, after asking the guys at AlwaysRiding, if this jacket would be suitable for extensive +3 hour rides in -0 to -5 Celsius and they confirmed it would be suitable if I'd wear enough layers.
Well today I did a two hours intensive ride in 2 degrees, wearing a Craft Zero long sleeve, winter long sleeve jersey and the Craft wind jacket, and unfortunately after 1,5 hours I got pretty cold (mostly at the arms).
So you could imagine it will not be suitable (thick enough) for long extensive rides in freezing weather, unless I maybe wear two winter jerseys, but I don't believe that's an optimal solution.
Concluding, I've seen that the Craft Winter jacket has been added to the shop. It still looks pretty thin, but if you're looking for a nice winter jacket, I would recommend going for that one, because this one is only suitable for +0 Celsius.
Kind regards from the Netherlands,

Just had the pleasure of wearing this jacket for the first time in a 4 hours of October wind and rain.
I must say I am very impressed - the water repellent finish keeps off a lot of the rain, it does get through eventually but even when the fabric has been saturated it continues to make the worst of it run off the outside.
Due to the windproof nature of the fabric, even when water has got in, you are still warm - the wetsuit effect I guess.
The fit is excellent with only very minimal flapping in the wind. I am 5"9 with a 36" chest and weigh about 70kg and wear a size medium for a nice snug fit.
Sleeves are nice and long, slim fitting and articulated for on the bike positioning.
The chest is incredibly well fitted and the stretchy fabric allows for great movement all round.
Rear pocket is a good size and is vented inside to so open it up to help get some airflow going if you get a little hot - having said that the jacket is very breathable, has vents on the rear and under the arms so shouldn't lead to that awful overheating that a fully waterproof shell will cause.
The jacket weighs in at around 190g and can be folded up and put in a jersey pocket without any bother - not as tiny and light as the Craft Performance Light jacket which I also own, but this jacket is more windproof, more waterproof and a better fit. Perfect for autumn riding and probably good for winter too with a winter weight jersey and base layer underneath.

Wind and rain all day today so I was glad to have my new jacket on! Very happy with the temperature and close fit. NB the colour is a brighter yellow than the photo and the gripper at the bottom of the jacket is maybe too good at it's job... can difficult to get food out of your pockets underneath when riding in a group Got an in depth product question, or want to ask something else related to this product? Whatever your question, simple post it here, and we'll answer you faster than a speeding bullet. Is the wind jacket made from the same material as the elite gillet or a warmer construction?

Hi Mark,
The Craft Elite Wind Jacket is made of the same lightweight material as the EliteWind Vest, and uses Gore Windstopper to keep the wind at bay. If you are looking for a more thermal solution for very cold conditions, we would recommend the Craft Elite Winter Jacket, as this has a brushed inner and sports a more heavyweight fabric. product tags for this itemClick on a tag to see the listed items, or check the boxes next to the tag if you consider them relevant.
