Craft's Performance Featherlight Vest (or Gilet if you will) is a supremely, you guessed it, 'featherlight' outer vest that for this year, rocks a DWR - Durable Water Repellant finish and wind protective front, making it the ideal stowaway cycling vest for showery conditions. The Featherlight adopts Craft's well known rider friendly attention to details, like well placed touches of reflectivity, a warm microfibre collar and an elastic mesh fabric rear for enhanced ventilation and a perfect fit. Worn from the outset, or pulled out of a rear jersey pocket for long descents and changing conditions (it folds very smartly into it's own mini stuff sack), it is the ideal cycling gilet for long descents and cool all season rides.

'must have' kit option
Size comment: "True to size"
Ideal for spring or autumn rides when the temperature is too low for just an under vest and jersey. Living in the UK it is called into use for early morning summer rides when there's often still a chill in the air! Packs down really small to enable it to be stowed in a back pocket or stick away, rolled up, under the jersey if all pockets are full. Sizing is as stated too which helps......none of the silly tiny Italian sizing issues here. No annoying flapping from the material and the thing is snug around the neck to stop drafts. Highly recommended and a good price.

Lightweight but not durable
Size comment: "True to size"
This vest packs small and goes easily into a jersey pocket. Good fit and comfortable to wear. Wind and water resistant beyond my expectation.
However, it is not duarable and and mine did not last 6 months before coming apart at the seam making it an expensive purchase. Yes, it is described as a featherlight item but surely it still needs to be able to last for a year ? If you intend to mostly carry it and wear it for emergency only then it may be OK for you but in my experience this item is not durable enough for regular use.
Got an in depth product question, or want to ask something else related to this product? Whatever your question, simple post it here, and we'll answer you faster than a speeding bullet.craft sizingCraft's sizing is very Swedish, which means the size sets are very realistic, and not at all like the very small Italian brands. With Craft, a large is indeed a large. The only exception is the Elite range, which is a pure race fit, and which depending on your cycling style, one you may wish to size up for.
