They work!
I treat overshoes as disposable items, a pair usually lasting a couple of years. So I don't like to pay huge amounts for them. The price of these Craft overshoes was the first thing that attracted me. Equally, I like close fitting overshoes rather than the 'rubber banded plastic bag' look of many. So Craft scored there for me too. Normally, I wear neoprene overshoes (I don't mind wet feet so long as they are warm!) but I like to try alternatives. I took note of the size comments of others (rather than the size guide) and ordered an L for my (Shimano) size 42 feet.
The fit is spot on for me. You wouldn't want to go smaller but they are the snug fit that I like. Sure, you do have to spend a little bit of time getting them 'just so' (they don't just slip on) but it's worth it.
Most importantly, they work. I've just ridden an hour in the pouring rain and my shoes, socks and feet are dry. And that's what you want isn't it? (Note; I was wearing bib tights and layered them over the ankle of the overshoes. All overshoes will let water in around the top!) Feet were warm too though I've yet to ride in really cold weather. I suspect neoprene will be warmer in cold conditions.
The construction looks solid. I like the reinforced toe area, it could mean an extended life. Ime, all overshoes rip over time, particularly the soul, but the reinforced areas of the Craft ones gives me hope... perhaps they'll do better than 2 years!
For the price, these are an excellent overshoe. Recommended.

from United Kingdom on 23/09/2010 Completed one 70 minute ride in the rain with the new booties. Feet stayed dry and warm. Much better than other overshoes I've used.
Well made, easy to get go. Water runs off them well and they are nicely lined for warmth.
Regarding sizing. The M fits my size 41/42 shoes perfectly but I have very skinny ankles so I need to ensure that the velcro is folded and stuck tight to reduce leakage from the leg.

Well made, warm over shoes!
Well made product as usual for Craft. These rain booties fit perfectly, I chose the Large size (I wear US: 9 or EUR: 42 2/3) and they are just tight enough so they're aerodynamic but not too much to be hard to put on. Here in Quebec, Canada, it's about 5 - 8 degrees outside and these are enough to keep your feet warm for at least 2h of riding. Haven't use them in the rain yet, but the finish looks like a good water repellent!

Perfect overshoe
Size comment: "True to size"
Light, well made shoe protection. The large was a perfect fit on my size 44 Sidi shoes. Nice bit of reflection too. Craft products always deliver!

from United Kingdom on 05/01/2011 when they work they are good but having purchased them in November the stitching on the seam around the foot has come apart and now the zip has packed in in.

from Italy on 09/12/2010 I recently purchased a pair of Craft Rain Bootie. Purtrippo I have not had the chance to use them, because despite having a pair of SIDI scrpini No 45, the L size was small. At the sight and touch SBRA a great product. I sent the product to the sender but I'm still waiting for the XL size. Do not just try them with the wet road and will let you know the success of the product. I hope to be helpful for choosing the size for the next customer.

from United Kingdom on 25/08/2011 The first pair that I had (from another supplier) had a very bad finish to the top of the zip that actually rubbed badly on my leg and caused a sore on the first long ride I did. However, the cost was refunded and I bought another pair from AlwaysRiding. These are better finished, but are very tight, to the point that it is a pain putting them on. Buy a size larger than is suggested!

dry feet
Size comment: "True to size"
Kept my feet dry in a shower not sure what they would be like in heavy rain but good so far.

Excellent cut, easy to fit
Size comment: "True to size"
These are far from the plastic bag cut of many booties. The excellent cut and shape ensures a tight streamlined fit and the central separating velcro strap allows easy slip on and a secure and tight adjustment. The rear zip operates easily and is protected by a velcro cuff ankle strap which prevents it slipping down. A size large fits my 44 shoes perfectly, so the sizing seems spot on. The fabric has quite a lot of stretch for a waterproof bootie and so far seems to do the business of keeping the water out, having ridden in them on several damp 20 milers - will need to see if they saturate out in wetter weather over a longer time period. The soft fleecy lining gives these a slightly greater temperature range and they feel comfortable at temperatures down to 2-3 degrees, although any colder and I would have the windstopper booties on. The reflective logo is a nice touch - just make sure you put them on the correct shoe! Recommended.

Will these booties fit my off road shoes?
asked by Victor on 27th October 2010
Good question! The Craft Rain Booties, as with most of the cycling over shoes in store, are primarily designed to work with slim, road style cycling shoes. If your mountain bike shoe is relatively slim and not too boot like, then yes, you should be fine. Any problems, then you can of course return them to us for a no hassle refund or exchange.

How does the sizing work - my shoes are 44?
asked by Basil on 28th October 2010
Thanks for your question - With a size 44 cycling shoe, you will need a large size in any of the Craft Overshoes
answered by Always Riding
Thanks for the question - if your mountain bike shoes are very rugged and wide, the Craft Rain Bootie will not fit very well. However, if your shoe is a slim style, then the Rain Bootie will work perfectly and fit very well.

Hi there !
what kind of under sole is it please ?
asked by Tony on 12th August 2011
Thanks for the question - the Rain Bootie has a Velcro closure under sole, which allows quite a bit of fit adjustment. Whereas other cycling overshoes might just have a hole underneath for the cleat, the Rain Bootie also allows the heel to come through the overshoe, so walking off the bike is a lot easier.

craft sizingCraft's sizing is very Swedish, which means the size sets are very realistic, and not at all like the very small Italian brands. With Craft, a large is indeed a large. The only exception is the Elite range, which is a pure race fit, and which depending on your cycling style, one you may wish to size up for.
*For an accurate glove size, please measure around your palm, placing it flat and making sure to exclude the thumb (don't chop it off), then compare your measurement to the chart above. If it's a close call, go one size up or down depending on the result.
