Description

With a mix of full grain leather and a classic herringbone fabric, the DZR Strasse harks back to an earlier time of pocket watches and Fedoras. Like the entire DZR Shoe range, the DZR Strasse combines an SPD compatible midsole with a vulcanised rubber outsole for a seamless bike to pavement transition throughout the day.

Loss of power transfer to the pedals is one of the main reasons you probably already wear a traditional cycling shoe to commute over a more urban orientated piece that you can wear off the bike, so to combat this problem, DZR moved the sole's flex point further back towards the rear. The net result is a natural walking gait as the shoe can move with the foot. But on the bike, more power is delivered to the pedals throughout the pedal stroke.
Finished with a 600 luminosity reflective rear badge, the DZR Strasse Shoe is an ideal city riding piece for both on and off the bike adventures, for the rider that only wants to wear one shoe throughout the day.

These shoes are exactly what i've been looking for. Great looking and very comfortable to wear. The sole is not too stiff and not too soft, perfect for urban use where they have to perform both on and off the bike. Installing the cleats was very easy, just remove two screws to remove the cleat cover and screw the cleats on. I had previously read that you might have to cut the sole to fit the cleats, but I didn't have to cut anything - the cleats just fit perfectly.

These shoes are a little on the large side. I normally use size EUR 43 (puma, adidas, etc) and EUR 44 in cycling shoes (Shimano, Bontrager), so I decided to go for size EUR 43. I am pretty sure that size EUR 42 fits me, but I decided to keep the size I ordered to be able to use them with thick socks during the colder months.

On the bike these shoes perform very well. If I do the laces quite tight, I honestly don't feel much difference in performance compared with my other cycling shoes. Of course the sole isn't as stiff as on my other cycling shoes but that really doesn't matter when commuting or cycling in urban areas. Even for longer rides these shoes perform really well. The laces are tucked away under a small elastic band so they won't get caught in the chainrings. Great design.

Off the bike these shoes are excellent. When walking you don't really notice you're wearing cycling shoes because of the semi stiff sole. The Cleats never touch the ground.

I highly reccommend these shoes to anyone.

Love the design and the quality is excellent. Beware that the sizing, atleast on my pair, is slightly larger than the DZR chart and that for some foot types you might need to use an insole and/or heel to build it up slightly. I use 43/44 in regular shoes. The chart indicated that I should go for size 45, but I think 44 would have been big enough.

If you plan on combining the DZR Strasse with a Crankbrothers pedal, you will need extra shims (two per shoe) between the shoe and the cleat.

Excellent shoe. The fit was perfect, just as described. Well constructed. Ride well. Discreet for the office/pub. Craft knife easily cuts out moulded recess revealing mounting plate/threads for SPD cleats. Supplied with 2x rubber insets to screw in for longer times walking. (I've had no reason to fit these)

I brought these for commuting in and they are my first pair of urban cleated shoes: they are superb, great quality and fit, comfortable and very easy to walk in with no overhang from the cleats. Very pleased with them.

No more no less comfort than in a pair of Converse, flat insole (ie. no foot-arched) / this pair of plain and stylish shoes gives you enough comfort to be worn all day long in city / the sole is flexible and the shoe is wide enough so you don't get pain when walking / not waterproof nor repellent / too fragile for touring

DZR Shoes have traditionally run slightly large, but recently many riders have been reporting that they feel the shoes run true to size. The reality is probably somewhere in the middle, so expect a slightly larger size in general, but if in doubt, please take a moment to read some of the DZR product reviews to see what other riders have said about their shoes and experiences.
