![]() Spanish brand Etxeondo have been in the business of creating performance cycling wear since 1976, and are perhaps most well known for their sponsorship of Pro Tour Team Euskatel and clothing the shoulders of the mighty Miguel Indurain during his time at Banesto. To this day, the entire range, (apart from some accessories which are made in Italy), is still designed and produced in San Sebastian, where the company first started. Etxeondo have a solid reputation for making only the highest quality apparel, designed for the most demanding cyclists, whether they ride road or mountain. Their commitment to research and development is one of the reasons they are regarded as rider staple for European cyclists, who can always count on not only a great fit, but race proven apparel that supports the rider from valley floor to mountain top descent. ![]() In the April 2011 edition of the German ROADBIKE magazine, the Etxeondo DICOLOR bib short received the best in category award, scoring 5/5 on chamois quality, comfort and fit. The DICOLOR successfully held of competition from Campagnolo, Castelli, Gore and Odlo amongst others; cementing the Spanish brand's premium position in the market. As well as taking the best in category award, the DICOLOR also took home the 'Best Buy' or 'Kauftipp' rating. Absolutely deligted with this bibs. Tried them out on several longer rides and they worked perfectly, providing comfort and holding everything in place. Maybe the best shorts I ever owned. Additional plus is the fact they are proudly produced in Basque country, one of cycling heartlands and on sale at Always Riding at the killer price. Highly recommended.

For years I've tried to defend Assos's pricing pointing out that you get what you pay for.
No more, these are my first Exteondo's but won't be my last. They look great, feel great on and stay comfortable even on a 100 mile trip.
I bought them in Exteondo's trademark blue and matched them with their Guter jersey. You need a good sunny day for bright colours but they look terrific when it is.
I also have a pair of Northwave Fighter SBS shoes (sadly, not available from the excellent alwaysriding.co.uk) in the exact same blue which make a great outfit for sportive days.
If you demand quality but don't like paying through the nose for it, look no further. 5 stars.

I've tried bib shorts from all the top brands but these are as good as any if not better in fit and value. I wear XLG in Assos and XXL in Santini , I purchased 2 pairs of Etxeondo Dicolor in XXL.. Perfect !

Really like the fit on these shorts, size Med is perfect 5'11' and 70 kgs. The insert is super comfy and not too big (unlike assos mille). Feel like a second skin.

these bib shorts are better overall than any others i own or have used recently. they seem to combine all of the better qualities of each my other shorts; assos f1 13 s5 - love the fit, hate the "nappy" insert; campagnolo - great insert, poor lower thigh fit; pearl izumi -great fit and comfort, lower quality insert and material; santini - great clean look, not much else to shout about; and i could go on, but i think you get the idea. quality materials, great insert, comfortable fit, and at a price that completes a great package. etxeondo is fast becoming my "go to" brand....

Bought these after trying Assos, 'cos every one says they are like Assos except for the price. But I'm afraid I don't agree. The fit is ok but I find the pad rubs on my right buttock something I never get from my Assos shorts. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying they are rubbish, just not Assos. I guess it is just a personal thing.

These bibs are great fitting and supportive. The thinner fabric moves with each of your body lines and moves. I purchased the grey color which is stylish and different from the basic black. Super fit and function.

The Dicolor has to be the best bib short value on the market. It's a simple design, with relatively few panels, but the expert cut makes more complicated whiz bang stuff just unnecessary. The no-gripper gripper design is excellent. I'd say the Dicolor design allows it a bit more sizing flexibility than some bibs with more panels, so if you're unsure on fit and worry that your chosen size might be too snug, the Dicolor is a safe bet. It'll stretch a bit to fit taller/bigger riders, perhaps a bit easier than other bibs. Love 'em.

Stylish and extremely comfortable shorts that are well worth their money.
by Garry Welsh from United Kingdom on 01/10/2011
Excellent bib shorts, really comfortable!! Asked always riding team advise on sizing and they got it spot on! Bib straps are fantastic, you forget that you have them on. Chamois is comfy and I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a great set of bib shorts at excellent value for money!
by The Izoard Climber from United States on 05/08/2011
Can't rate them highly enough, simple incredibly comfy, and very stylish bibs. I would rate them over anything by Assos or Rapha any day, and i've worn both.
by jon evans from United Kingdom on 29/07/2011
Great bibs - very comfortable, excellent chamois and the fit is spot on. As others have said, they stay put depite non-silicon grippers, the bib's stretchy enough for toilet stops and they have that forget-you-are-wearing them feeling. I've worn them up to 80 miles at a stretch with no problems at all. Top product.
by Frank Andersen from Norway on 01/06/2011
Great shorts, great price. Not for the longest rides though. I only use it for shorter 40-60 km rides and it works perfect. The fit is super comfy and it doesen't hurt that i looks good. A bargain, buy asap.
by Roy Cooper from United Kingdom on 31/05/2011
Nice fitting quality shorts. I have promoted them to my most preferred.
by Vesa Launiainen from Finland on 24/05/2011
Nicely cut and looks great. 185cm/88kg and size XL fits well, a tad on the large side even. No complaints about the chamois either.
by Wesley Overeem from Netherlands on 22/05/2011
So far I don't regret buying these shorts at all!
The fit is very nice and the chamois is of the same level as Assos. Also appreciate the non-silicon-grippers.
by garymmx from United Kingdom on 09/05/2011
Great fitting, comfortable and well designed shorts. The best thing to date is the lack of a standard elasticated leg gripper, I don't know how they've done it, but the soft alternative is a real benefit. I'm an Exteondo convert!
by Julian Rathbone from United Kingdom on 04/05/2011
I am really pleased with these shorts, i find them more comfortable than a more expensive pair from Assos. There are no leg grippers but the contrasting lycra at the bottom of the leg replaces the need for grippers. The fit is generous, i went for a medium but might have squeezed into a small - the fit is still excellent. Chamois is very confortable without being bulky - Recommended

I have come to expect nothing but the best from Etxeondo. I ordered these and no surprises! Etxeondo chamois' are the best money can buy and the fit is absolutely awesome. I will recommend these to absolutely everybody. At the price of the Dicolor, nothing can compare...
by Ryan Loh from Singapore on 22/04/2011
Extremely well fitting shorts. The chamois pad is also one of the most comfortable pads I have sat my bottom on. I would recommend it to anyone. The sizing guide is pretty spot.
by Will Richards from United Kingdom on 17/04/2011
These shorts are stylish, super comfortable and excellent value. First outing was a 140km ride and I had no problems or soreness whatsoever. As good, if not better than Assoss and far better value. Love the white trim and would whole heartedly recommend these shorts - may just have to but another pair!
by Tom Beynon from United Kingdom on 07/04/2011
Stylish looking shorts, seem well made and that chamois makes for a very comfortable ride. Size wise the medium is similar to Sugoi and a bit more snug than Assos. Very good value at £70.
by Dusan Decermic from United Kingdom on 18/03/2011
Spotted these and liked the design. As swift as always riding, the package arrived. Ripped the packaging and slipped the shorts on. I can only say WOW, what a product. They fit like a glove, look fabulous and for the price they are unbeatable. I liked them so much that I wanted to get a red pair as well. Alas, need to wait until next week for more stock to arrive. I think that these shorts with a choice of four colours should make an absolute best seller! Got an in depth product question, or want to ask something else related to this product? Hello,
I'm interested in buying these Exteondo shorts, but I have a question about the sizing.
Could you perhaps tell me the length of the legs in size M and L? (Measured from the middle of the chamois to the end of the leg.) And also the diameter at the end of the legs of both sizes?
Thanks in advance!
posted by Wesley on 27th March 2011
Thanks for the question - please see the size measurements below:
Medium 28cm length - measured from centre chamois stitch line to end of leg 17cm - leg diameter Large 28cm - measured from centre chamois stitch line to end of leg 18cm - leg diameter All measurements are when the bib short is unworn and at rest
Hi just wondering how much this bib would be including postage to Adelaide, South Australia, postcode 5000? thanks
posted by nathan on 30th April 2011
Thanks for the question - if you add the bib to your bag then proceed to checkout, you will see the total price including shipping, which is a flat rate per order of roughly $17 to Australia.
Some good riding in those Adelaide hills, we have some good memories of a trip there a couple of years back!
Hi!
I´m using a Scott bib short size large and it´s perfect. I'm 186 cm and weighing 88 kg. What do you recommend me to choose? Tom
posted by Tom on 21st March 2012
Thanks for the question! We would recommend a large, which should give a great fit in the Dicolor, which is sized a little more generously than other Etxeondo bib shorts.
