I had been riding in Spain over winter (I know, lucky me!) in shorts and kneewarmers. (Since you ask, etxeondo press and urri.) Not ideal, I find, as the elastic grippers of the shorts don't grip too well on the knee warmers, and even leave marks. So I wanted 3/4 tights - or what the Spanish call 'Pirate' shorts. Back in the UK, it was back to my old winter tights, now far to big and worn through. So, a big gulp took place, followed by my nice friend Pete at alwaysriding matching a ridiculous price (that you'll not be able to find ever again, I'm sure ;) ), and I bought the sairs. Fantastic! The fabric is much warmer than shorts, yet not as bulky as some full-on winter tights, but beautifully soft and luxurious. The bibs especially are fabulously comfortable and sit flat all the time, and the pad (same as the press shorts) is perfect for me. The leg length is mid-calf (not as short as some, which barely cover the knee), and the gripper keeps the leg perfectly in place all the time. In this bitter cold weather (I'm a softy), I wore my urri kneewarmers underneath the sairs the other day, and everything remained comfortable and in place. Just a not on 'comfort stops'. Yes, it is quite easily possible when wearing these, despite them not having a zip, as the front is cut 'just right' - for me, anyway!

Etxeondo apparel is sized for a fitted look, but not so much as the Italian brands. Therefore, follow the sizing chart with confidence, but if you do want a little extra room, then feel free to go up a size.
*For an accurate glove size, please measure around your palm, placing it flat and making sure to exclude the thumb (don't chop it off), then compare your measurement to the chart above. If it's a close call, go one size up or down depending on the result.
