The Etxeondo Tive Glove is one of very few road cycling gloves we have seen that fits onto the hand without the help of a clasp or velcro to close at the wrist. This intriguing design is often used in off road gloves, where to most riders, the lack of a closure system provides a much improved experience, and greater freedom of movement. The Tive pulls onto the rider's hand for the perfect fit, and for removal, tabs along the fingers assist in seriously easy removal. A soft terry cloth wipe that extends along the first finger is well placed for keeping the nose dry. After a few long road rides to test the Tive, we can say hands down that this is one of the comfiest road gloves available to buy. Not only is the padding perfectly distributed on the palm, but the lack of a velcro closure system means that the wrist is never restricted and the hands feel less tired at the end of the day.
![]() Spanish brand Etxeondo have been in the business of creating performance cycling wear since 1976, and are perhaps most well known for their sponsorship of Pro Tour Team Euskatel and clothing the shoulders of the mighty Miguel Indurain during his time at Banesto. To this day, the entire range, (apart from some accessories which are made in Italy), is still designed and produced in San Sebastian, where the company first started. Etxeondo have a solid reputation for making only the highest quality apparel, designed for the most demanding cyclists, whether they ride road or mountain. Their commitment to research and development is one of the reasons they are regarded as rider staple for European cyclists, who can always count on not only a great fit, but race proven apparel that supports the rider from valley floor to mountain top descent. At the risk of becoming boring, here's another 5 star review. This glove was suggested to me by the knowledgeable Pete @ alwaysriding after the original glove i wanted was out of stock. Snug fit, without being tight, and the strapless design removes any back of hand irritations i used to get climbing. If i were looking to knock off half a star anywhere, i would say that it's design doesn't allow for the back of hand suntan circle - but i'm a bit old school* i guess in liking that....

Not only did this glove provide supreme comfort and protection for 2,000 relentless miles of road and mountain biking across Europe, but 5 months on, they're still working like day 1. My 50km commute across Sydney is humid, sweaty and hilly, so I'm out of the saddle and working the arms a lot. With so much stress going through my hands, I need a glove that ticks all the boxes. This one does. Perfectly.

Having tried several makes of glove over the years, I have always been disappointed by seams being in the wrong place leading to discomfort and pins and needles on long rides. So after looking at the pictures of these gloves ( and having a very nice Etxeondo jersey) decided to take a gamble on them. When I first tried them on I thought that the padding across the palm was too thin and that they were a waste of money, but after using them for a few weeks I have found them to be the most comfortable glove I have ever used. I still think that a more dense foam should be used across the palm but seeing as there is no stupid stitching there to irritate this is a small gripe. I will be buying another pair real soon because I will be at a loss when this pair wear out and by then they will be discontinued.

As with any Etxeondo product, top quality, sizing is perfect and they have their own unique style which makes them stand out from the crowd.

Bought these for summer rides, already used them on three club rides, each about 50 miles, and find them very comfortable. Used the sizing advice and got the fit just right and they aren't too difficult to remove. I bought a red pair and they look great.

Simply the best road gloves I have ever used. Pricey yes, but this level of quality is pretty rare in a glove in my experience. Buy them, you will not be disappointed.

Have been trying for two years to get the perfect long distance glove and have found it at last. Great fit, easy on and off and very comfy. Much better than Specialised BG Gel, Castelli Rossa Corsa and Giro's new Monaco IMO. Get them you wont be dissapointed. Fast service from Always Riding as usual.

When I first bought these gloves, I had heard of Etxeondo before, and their reputation for quality. After several rides, I can't tell you how good the Tive Gloves are. So well made, so comfortable on the bars for long hours on the bike. The attention to detail is just fantastic, highly recommended. I'm going to buy another pair ASAP.
