Sometimes you just have to marvel at the world we live in. At any moment in far-flung corners of the globe you’ll fine people merrily designing, tinkering, refining & realising long-cherished visions (let’s hope they are nice, helpful visions); very much like the fine people at Lumo, who have created the enthralling Regents Parka cycling jacket.
A modern adaptation of the classic 1960's Mod Parka, the Regents offers the urban adventurer a Schoeller® wool blend fabric for the very best in weatherproof membrane tech, trimmed and tailored with magnetically closed pockets and collar, paired with integrated LED lighting for unparalleled low-light visibility.
It’s certainly a lot to take in, but the good news is that Lumo have crafted a superbly fitting jacket, irrespective of extra features. Long in the arm, warm of cuff (internal lycra inner cuffs block out cold air nicely), pleasingly stretchy and manoeuvrable on the bike - the Regents hands out the sort of warm, ensconcing fit bicycle dreams are made of.
At its best in temperatures ranging from -5-15°C (23-59°F), the Regents is most noticeable in the dark, whereupon a paused thumb press will ignite the front and rear LEDs. USB rechargeable and up to 14 hours runtime-ready, this impeccably integrated lighting solution neither restricts jacket care, nor hinders daylight performance.
Thank goodness for Lumo’s particular vision, keep it up chaps.
