Rouleur Magazine Issue Sixteen

Woah mumma!!! This is a thick one!! The thickest one yet with 130 pages??What makes this issue so thick is the 47 page photo essay on the 2009 Tour of California. Two interviews in this issue, part one of a two parter with Shimano, and an interview with Willy Balmat - team chef (what other magazine would ever think of interviewing a team chef??). A history of 'Z', the formation from Team Peugot to Team Z, the last French team to win the Tour De France. Finally, what about the cover?? I really didn't want to open it, it looks great on my coffee table (but no one else can read it!!). To take a quote out of the magazine:"a ker-pow splodge-splat punch of a logo". The cover was designed by Richard Mitchelson, and also the 1989 Tour de France feature, an illustrated guide to the great battle for the maillot jaune between Greg Lemond and Laurent Fignon. At the end of the day, if you buy any issue of Rouleur and don't like it, you could always bung it on eBay and more than make your money back. Some issues, if they're currently out of print, are attracting silly prices! Think of Rouleur as an investment, I don't think they'll lose their value, unless you've dropped it in the bath! Don't believe me? do an eBay search, you'll be surprised at what some people will pay. Now, anyone got issue one they want to sell??
