![]() Solo cycle clothing was formed by two friends who loved the styles worn by the pro-riders of the 1950's - 1970's. Simple, powerful designs which demonstrated that less is more. They searched worldwide for clothing that had the flair and emotion of that age. Nothing existed. It was then that they realised that there must be other cyclists who felt the same. So the two friends decided to put their cycling and design backgrounds to good use and create something special: cycle clothing that made you want to ride - rain or shine. Taking their inspiration from the great riders, grand tours, equipment and cycling culture of that golden era, Solo's mission is to produce the most beautiful cycling jerseys in the world - jerseys made for like-minded souls. We think they've succeeded. Just like those classic jerseys, Solo jerseys are about more than wearing a sponsors logo on your chest. Each jersey has a story to tell - your own story of epic rides, punctures, road grit, stinging rain in the eyes and sweeping downhill in warm winds. Solo believe that cycling culture is much more than crossing the finish line first. It is about ethics, determination, companionship, spirit, honour, mystery and brotherhood. It is about how you feel heading home after spending the day on your bike. Or the post-training espresso with cycling friends who have shared the hardship of the road.

I already own some lycra arm warmers, but for the chillier rides these keep me nice and warm.
SS jersey, windvest and Solo arm warmers BINGO!

These arm warmers are the stuff of legend - superb fit, great material, warm, breathable and stylish. I am 5ft 9in and the medium fit me perfectly length wise with no bunching of excess material and no nasty cold gap at the armpit. The grippers are snug without being constricting, and after 10 minutes you forget you have them on. Worn on their own, they provide excellent warmth and even under another merino layer in cold weather, they breath well, with no sweating. They ain't cheap - even more expensive than the Rapha equivalent! - but worth every penny for their preformance and understated style. If you can afford them, get a set - you won't regret it.

This is my second set of Solo arm warmers. I must say I'm not as happy as I would have liked. They are still a great product, well made, warm, fit well ... but I have a set of older arm warmers that are from solo and I was expecting a set just like these. The new warmers are 55% merino vs 95% to old ones. The new ones do seem thicker and warmer and have the great reflective strip but they are not the same. These new ones will have their place when its a bit colder and the old ones will be for when its slightly warmer.

I really love the feel of the merino, warm and cozy even in the wet, the gripper works really well.
The best i´ve owned so far ...

Very very good, but buy a size smaller, as I did with the leg warmers. The meduim arms, slip down a bit, I'll buy again , but I'll buy small. But a very good product.

They hold up well and they're warm - what more can you ask for in an arm warmer!? Let's see how they hold up after some washing...

Having already bought the Solo Knee Warmers and loving them I got these to replace some old arm warmers that had seen better days.
Merino fabric is great - keeps you warm even when wet.
Reflective strip is a nice feature.
Fit is not quite as tight as my old Super Roubaix fabric arm warmers, despite the measurements given on this site matching exactly those of my old warmers. I guess this is due to them being wool.
The gripper keeps them in place nicely.
Definitely worth buying.

by Jonathan Edwards from United Kingdom on 22/10/2009
So far so good. Only worn them twice, but warm, windproof and have a nice reflective stripe down the back. Nice feel to them too.
by JJ from United Kingdom on 08/09/2009
These are quite simply the best. If you want to stay warm and comfortable as the cool mornings and evenings set in I would highly recommend these. You'll also look cool which helps!!
by Tim Low from United Kingdom on 16/09/2008
These are fantastic. They are very comfortable and the sizing and shape are spot on. I'd recommend them to anyone.
