The Spiuk ZS11R is Spiuk's top of the line, non carbon sole cycling shoe. Instead, the ZS11 features a super stiff polyamide and glass fibre sole. The trade off compared to a full carbon sole is a touch less rigidity, but a much lower price point.
A good choice for sportive rides, club runs and training, the ZS11R matches a robust, elegant design, with well thought out ventilation, and a secure all round fit. Completed with a precise micrometric buckle, which once the shoe is on, allows for an impressive level of modulation, so the fit is always comfortable. The buckle is of course backed up with two velcro straps.
One final area worth mentioning is that the Spiuk ZS11 is supplied with an additional inner, which is meant to be used in warmer conditions to allow increased airflow, and hence, keep your feet cooler - genius.

Great shoe - narrow fit

This is a great shoe. Admittedly this is my first pair of clipless shoes, so nothing to compare against other than flat pedal specific shoes. The fit is very narrow in the mid foot (I don't have wide feet) - painfully so if I do them up super tight. As a result I have to slacken off the buckles slightly, this doesn't seem to affect the solidness on the pedals though. The release mechanism on the main (non Velcro) buckle could be a little easier to release. Overall, good. Great ventilation, and comes with a winter insole that I haven't tried yet.
