Getting out when it’s raining outside can be a whole lot easier if you have a jacket that will keep your dry and comfortable – even if you (and the rain) plan on being out all day. The Renegade jacket from 7mesh is an update of the RE:GEN jacket which could be described as a lighter and slimmer version of the Revelation jacket – but that doesn’t quite describe where it shines.
Gore-Tex Active is used which is the lightest version of the waterproof material. It is lighter, more breathable and softer against the skin compared to Gore-Tex Pro. This makes it best suited to when you are riding hard over single days.
The Renegade jacket has an athletic cut – so close to the body but not skin tight. There is space in the back of the jacket for pocket contents, and there is a pass-through vent to let you reach inside them too, to extract a banana or multi-tool. At the wrists, there are zips – useful for ventilation and for when you’re putting the jacket on.
