Description

Description

With military grade internal waterproofing (helpful when testing the 25L capacity!), the Bravo 2.0 from Chrome has as much going for it as can fit inside it. Weatherproof and built with a padded, easy to reach laptop case to fit a 38cm MacBook Pro or similar, it sits perfectly on the back of any commuting cyclist.

The Bravo 2.0’s ergonomically designed straps take the strain of whatever weight you load it with, and the outer cross straps mean it’s possible to extend that cavernous capacity ever upwards. Beautifully put together, it’s another solid and dependable bag from a fantastically cycling oriented company.

Initial thoughts upon opening this pack were good - the finish is quality and words cannot express just HOW tough the materials used are.

It's not a small pack - it's slim and sits nicely against the back - but the overall outline is quite large (due to the roll top). Laptop sleeve and other organisation on the front section of the pack is brilliant, and I love that the laptop sleeve doesn't go to the very bottom of the bag so when I chuck it on the floor to lock the bike up, I'm not smashing my MacBook. The Velcro closure on the front flap is especially satisfying, in a childish sort of way.

I don't struggle to get all my gear into the pack for a day at the office (food, clothes, bike tools etc) and the expandable feature is great - though don't expect to see over your shoulder with that full. When filled normally it's fine. Comfy to ride with, some discomfort when on the drops a while but hey ho, it's a bag.

Metal buckles are good, waterproofing has held up well so far and the only reason I haven't given this five stars is because I haven't had it long enough to prove reliability. That said, I have a sneaking suspicion that the only reason I'll ever even consider replacing this bag is because I'm bored of it, not because it's broke...

Quite a large, broad bag compared to the 'Barrage' and it's a bit more convenient with loads of pockets for organising stuff. It's nice to have a dedicated padded laptop sleeve but would not feel at all confident in my laptop (or other stuff) staying dry as this section is not enclosed in the rolltop and is protected by a simple flap. Be aware that the bottom of the bag is not square so when it is fully packed it falls over. Seems durabl-ish, although the finish leaves a bit to be desired with messy stitching here and there. The cross straps are odd and not all that useful. Only one water bottle pocket. An O.K. backpack for short rides.

Excellent backpack. very sturdy and waterproof. it can be stretched to fit a lot of stuff, but fit it too much and it becomes a bit unwieldy to wear. has a number of useful pockets, but could use some more, especially on the inside.

    Overall very satisfied with it!

At first I wanted to return the Item due to its size.... after using Chrome Citizen Messenger Bag is looks a lot smaller and really thin in depth, but after couple of rides I discovered it so much more comfortable than the Citizen. Especially carrying heavy loads or carrying a laptop (Citizen does not have separate compartment for laptops). There are usual drawbacks like in every backpack i.e.. sweaty back, not so easy access to the main compartment etc. but that does not outweigh the benefits: Great stability on while riding, able to carry long objects, compartments, awesome casual look, benefit of back padding, reflectives, adjustability etc. A good 5 star product.

Bought this based on the recommendation from the Always Riding team, and it is a great bag. It's passed my food shopping test, my shower (waterproof) test and keeping documents in shape test. It looks great and quite comforatble to use. I am not new to Chrome bags so am fully aware of their shortfalls - the padding can still be improved as if the bag is fully loaded with food of various shapes and sizes, it could hurt a little riding with it, but it can carry a large watermelon plus 2 full supermarket bag... Also the roll-top does slightly block your vision when looking over your shoulder if fully 'rolled down', but when it's fully up, it's much better, that said, this applies to most roll-tops anyway.

Overall, a nice bag and I like the many little pockets in the front and it keeps work documents etc protected. Happy with it.
