The Silca Premio Seat Bag is a neat little number for storing ride essentials - if you opt for the loaded version, it comes preloaded with Silca’s Tredici multitool and EOLO CO2 inflator - nice! The Tredici multitool (otherwise known as the Italian Army Knife) weighs a modest 105g but packs in 13 stainless steel chrome plated bits including hex keys, screwdrivers, torx keys and a disc pad spreader, finished in signature Silca red and made with Silca’s usual attention to detail.
The EOLO CO2 inflator is made from 6063 series aluminum and stainless steel and has a hardened tool steel puncture pin to ensure smooth operation and durability. The EOLO is easy to use, with a ‘camera lens’ style valve head for easy installation even on disc wheels, a light spring action which makes it easy to regulate the flow of gas into the tyre, and insulation rings to enhance grip and insulate from the cold.
Premio means ‘prize’ in Italian, and the seat bag is just that - this is sure to become a prized possession for any rider lucky enough to own it. As expected, the bag has been given the full Silca treatment, which in this case means a completely new closure/fixing system (the Premio uses a Boa Wire System which is more commonly used for high end road cycling shoes), custom Silca waxed cotton construction (this makes the bag both waterproof and reflective) and great internal organisation, with three large pockets ideal for tube, CO2 cartridges and regulator and a multitool.
